The 2027 Field Notes Planner
A hyperlinked A4 planner with a different real species file for each month: its common name, scientific name, EPBC and IUCN status and the date checked.
Each month has a species page, a calendar grid and a habit tracker. Then come one page per week (Monday to Sunday), notes pages, and a sightings log for the fictional drop bear, clearly marked as fiction.
Use it in a PDF annotation app such as GoodNotes, Notability, Xodo or PDF Expert, or print it.
What you get
One zip file with:
- field-notes-planner-2027-dated.pdf: 97 A4 pages. The 2027 edition, with 53 weekly pages from Mon 28 Dec 2026 to Sun 2 Jan 2028.
- field-notes-planner-undated.pdf: 97 A4 pages. The undated edition with write-in dates and 52 numbered weekly pages, to start in any month of any year.
- README.txt: how to use the links in a PDF app, printing notes and the licence
Both include 12 monthly species files, 12 calendar grids, 12 habit trackers, 4 notes pages (2 lined, 2 dot grid) and the drop bear sightings log. Tabs down the right edge link to the year, the species index, each month and the notes.
Printing tips
- The pages are A4 portrait. On US Letter paper, choose "Fit to page".
- Print only the pages you need, for example one month at a time.
- Most home printers leave a small white margin at the right-hand edge where the tabs are. That is fine.
